Trace Adkins is a country music star and reality TV personality best known for his appearances on The Celebrity Apprentice and Real Time with Bill Maher. However, Adkins is no stranger to controversy, and he recently stirred the pot again when he appeared on Maher’s show to promote his new Fox series, Monarch.

Adkins was asked about his support for President Donald Trump and didn’t hold back. “Look, I supported the president because he was our president,” Adkins said. “I don’t care if you like him or not; he was our president.”

And during a recent appearance on the podcast “Armchair Expert,” Adkins had some strong words for his fellow celebrities who continue to bash President Donald Trump and his supporters.

Journalist Julia Ioffe and writer Jon Meacham appeared with Adkins. Meacham said at one point:

“I think when you launch an attack on the Capitol. And you undermine the one thing we’ve got that enables this other experiment to go on and I’m not saying the other side’s perfect. But I think a lot of Republicans, see if you agree with this, I think a lot of Republicans who don’t like Trump want forgiveness but don’t want to repent.”

Adkins responded: “I ain’t asking forgiveness for sh*t.”

The country music star went on to say that Hollywood elites need to “shut the f*ck up” and stop lecturing.

Adkins finished savagely: “It just drives me insane that these celebrities and these actors and directors and producers think that we value their opinion more than we value the opinion of our next door neighbor.”

Adkins won’t be backing down to liberal lecturers.
