Fox News star Harris Faulkner reportedly turned down an offer to replace Meghan McCain on “The View.”

Faulkner, who currently hosts “Outnumbered” and “Fox Report,” was allegedly approached about joining the ABC daytime talk show, but she ultimately decided to stay put at Fox News, according to Mediaite.

“Harris was flattered by the offer but she loves Fox News and her current gigs,” a source told the outlet. “She is not leaving.”

Faulkner is one of the most popular hosts on Fox News, regularly leading her programs to top ratings.

“The View” has been on the hunt for a new co-host since McCain announced her departure from the show in September.

McCain, who has been a vocal critic of President Donald Trump, said she was leaving to focus on her family.

“I know this isn’t for me,” McCain said at the time. “I really have fought and I really have tried to make it work, but at the end of the day, I’m not built for this show and this environment.”

McCain said on the state of the show: “You can’t imagine how it messes with your self-esteem working in an environment where the worst thing you can be in the world is a Republican during the Trump years.

“As the country got worse under Trump, the treatment from Whoopi, Joy, and some of the staff grew meaner and less forgiving.

“It was as if I had become an avatar for everything they hated about the president. It felt like the co-hosts and staff only knew one Republican — me — and took out all their anger on me, even though I didn’t even vote for Trump.”

ABC has not yet announced who will replace McCain on “The View.” The network did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News.

According to a report, Fox News contributor Kat Timpf also declined the chance to replace Meghan McCain as the permanent conservative co-host of The View.

Timpf, who is a regular contributor on Fox News Channel’s “The Greg Gutfeld Show,” was reportedly among the names being considered to take over for McCain on the ABC talkshow, according to Politico.

However, sources close to Timpf said that she is not interested in the gig and has no intention of leaving Fox News, where she has been a contributor since 2015.

Timpf is known for her witty and often contrarian takes on politics and culture. She has also been critical of President Donald Trump, calling him a “self-absorbed idiot” in a 2016 interview.

If Timpf had taken the job, she would have joined hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, and Sunny Hostin as the fourth co-host of “The View.” The show has been without a permanent conservative co-host since McCain announced her departure in September.

ABC has not commented on the report.
