President Joe Biden’s popularity rating is at an all-time low as he enters his first year in office. According to the most recent Politico/Morning Consult poll, only 40% of people approve of Biden’s job performance, a record low for the study. Fifty-six percent are dissatisfied with his work performance.

Despite the fact that Independents were important in turning the 2020 presidential campaign in his direction, Biden’s positive rating among them is 59 percent. The poll was conducted on January 15-16, 2022, among a representative sample of 2,005 registered voters, with an unweighted margin of error of plus or minus two percentage points.

Only 40% of those polled feel Biden is mentally fit, 37% believe he is in excellent health, and 43% believe he is stable. Biden started office in January 2021 with a 59 percent approval rating and temporarily reached a 62 percent favorable rating in March before gradually dropping.

After the catastrophic pullout from Afghanistan in August, the president’s popularity rating fell below 50%, and it fell even further as people lost faith in his ability to handle record inflation and the ongoing coronavirus outbreak. More voters are becoming dissatisfied with Biden’s leadership. According to facts obtained by The Washington Post from a virtual focus group held on behalf of liberal organizations, suburban women labeled Biden as “old,” “incoherent,” “sleepy,” and “lazy.”
